Directions: From LB take PCH south to Mar Vista, left on Coastline, right on Catalina, left on Avalon Drive which dead-ends into the parking lot.

Los Cerritos Wetlands Hellman Lowlands Field Trip

Leader: Mary Parsell

This is a future wetlands restoration area with limited docent only access at this time, and one of two chances each month for birding on the wetlands property. We will be looking for Song Sparrow, Belding’s Savannah Sparrow, shorebirds, and raptors. Help us document the avian species of this Audubon Important Bird Area (IBA), pre-restoration. This field trip is held every 2nd Saturday of the month year-round.

Meet at PCH and First St, on the border of Seal Beach/LB. From PCH turn inland on 1st St, park in driveway off asphalt. Closed-toed shoes required.  Bring binoculars, water, hat, sunscreen.
