Gum Grove Park in Seal Beach is an upland of Los Cerritos Wetlands.  You will see song birds, a flycatcher  like Cassin’s kingbird, raptors, possibly an owl, and many more.  You will be walking mostly under the trees but a hat is recommended, and wear closed shoes.  Bring binoculars, and it’s helpful if you have a field guide.  There are no comfort amenities, such as, toilets or water at the park.  We meet in the parking lot inside the entrance to the park located inside the neighborhood on Avalon Drive off of Catalina Avenue at 8:00 AM.  The leader is Mary Parsell
