Please join us on Thursday, June 20th for our last meeting until September. This year we are presenting a program along with our traditional potluck. There will be a short bird walk at 5:30 p.m., which is optional. Potluck begins at 6:15 p.m.sharp. Please bring a dish big enough to share with six to eight people (appetizers, salad, main dish or dessert). Don’t forget to bring your own plate and utensils. The chapter will supply drinks.

Program will follow (7:00 p.m.). Lenny Arkinstall of Los Cerritos Wetlands Stewards will present a film about urban nature and natural areas of Long Beach. Lenny is the founder and Executive Director of Los Cerritos Wetlands Stewards. The Stewards provide natural habitat maintenance for a number of cities and counties which includes eradication of non-native invasive weeds, mulching, planting native plants, and education.
