Our general meeting starts off with a few short announcements followed by our monthly program.
Our program this month is Tracy Drake “Reading Signs in Nature”, which she describes:
“When I am in the natural world I can see many with clues about what is going on around me by reading nature’s signs. The sounds of birds, the direction of the wind, the types of clouds and even budding flowers offer clues about the habitat, history and current ecological conditions. This program will be about sharing these clues so when you’re out in nature, whether in the city or natural open space, you may understand it a little better.”
Tracy currently serves as Park Services Manager, City of Torrance and holds a degree in Recreation from CSULB and a Master’s degree in Outdoor Resource Management from Indiana University. She is active in Palos Verdes/South Bay Audubon.
